Question:
Is there anyone more than 5 years post-op out there???

I'm looking for info on what the long term effects are on the body. I keep seeing everyone 5 years post-op and under. Please give me details of what to expect after 5 years. I have reading things like "expect osteoarthritis and osteoporosis after 5 years". Where have all of the 6 year post-op patients gone? Thanks    — Mark F. (posted on July 13, 2002)

Mark - Michele Curran and her husband are both over 8 years post op. I would suggest you read her profile page first, she also has a website www.vitalady.com that explains alot of her journey (as well as her husband's) She is one of the longest post-ops we have.
