What are the benefits of pre and post op counseling for WLS patients

Jo Ann again. As part of my research I would like your comments on professional pre and post op counseling for WLS patients. Would also like your detailed comments on the benefits of group therapy ( off or on line) for WLS patients. This info cannot be researched in journals since researchers haven't done it. I was wondering the same thing. I do however know that at this time there are no support groups in the Northwest Arkansas area..but an interested to learn from those in the area if they are seeing a counselor, especialy one they feel is adapt in this particular area...I would like to make contact with them before my july 20 surgery date
