Question:
Who accepts Medi-Cal?
hey, I live in Merced Cali, and ive searched around for someone who accepts Medi-Cal and i can't find anyone. I called a Manteca office and they transfered me to some guy who took my information and said they would send paperwork...Well that was a month ago and he said it would be here in a week after he had gotten my info. Ive called many of the doctor offices on the surgeon list, such as Fresno...They all said they either don't do it or they don't accept Medi-Cal. Please help! Thanx! — jessica A. Best thing I can suggest, Go to the Insurers page on this site, click on
your state and then find Medi-cal. There are a lot of people that have used
it. I don't know where you live so I don't want to give you Dr suggestions.
Once you find somebody close to you, click on their profile and find out
what Dr they used. Good luck!

Whoops.. the insurer page only gives you the email of the person, not the
profile. Sorry about that!

I also have medi-cal. I am going to USC. They have three doctors there.
Dr. Parvez in Fresno takes it. He has a long waiting list. UCLA is
another that takes it. I am not sure if they are taking new patients yet
or not. I think there were a few more but I can't remember who they were.
Does this help any?

Central Valley Bariatrics in Delano CA accepts medical. The surgery they
perform is the gastric reduction duodenal switch. In my opinion it is a
safer and more successful surgery. In my research I found it to be the most
successful surgery for long term weight loss results. Go to www.gr-ds.com
for more information. Medical approved me one month afer submitting for the
TAR.
