Sad you werent transected, which prevent SLD. See michelle currans profile,
this happened to her. I would get it fixed ASAP, and sadly that means
surgery. But waiting it will only get worse. Causing weight regain or poor
loss, ulcers and general distress over the situation. Micheel is now doing
GREAT and you will too.

It happened to me too. I had to be "redone" and transected this
time. The second surgery was not nearly as bad as the first one because
all the intestinal part was still ok. The surgeon just had to go back in
(open) and transect the pouch from the old stomach. I am doing great now
and have lost 110 lbs. If you aren't transected, the food is just
overflowing into the old still attached stomach. No danger to that but you
can eat a lot more and some gain back the weight. I was lucky in that I
didn't gain any back and even managed to lose an additional 10 lbs with the
disruption. I disrupted at 6 mos post op and had the revision to
transection at 11 mos post op. It has been a year since the second
surgery. You aren't the only one this has happened to and it is very
important to realize that it is not your fault! Some blame themselves or
the surgeon but it is just a mechanical failure due to not being
transected. If you do have the surgery again, be sure you are transected
this time and you won't have to worry about SLD again. It is worth it!
God bless you,

I just had my upper GI last Tuesday and there is still an ulcer on my
staple line also. Doctor wants an endoscopy now before he will schedule a
revision. Stupid me waited way too long and put back all the weight I lost.
I was three years post op and now he said the pouch stretched.Don't wait to
have this checked out. Good Luck to you.
