Question:
Does anyone know the criteria that Univera uses in order to approve for WLS?

I am looking into WLS and I am concerned about my insurance company. I have looked through most of the info on this site and I find no mention of my insurance company. I just would like to know the criteria that they go by so I know what my next move will be. If anyone can be of any help with this I would greatly appreciate it. Hi Teresa! While I do not have personal knowledge of your insurance co., I did a little research for you. In your state, New York, I found one person with Univera insurance. It appears that they did not have any trouble at all with approval. Here is the page www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity.insurers2.phtml?State=NY If for some reason that doesn't work, go to the top of any page and click on insurers and then click on your state. The insurers are then listed alphabetically. The person that posted the info is not identified however their e-mail address is there and maybe you could e-mail them with your questions and concerns.
