Question:
What am I waiting for?? Approval..

My Dr. at Kaiser, So.Cal sent in my paper work several weeks ago, my question is WHERE? Did he send it in to Kaiser or UCLA?? How will I know if i am aproved, will I get a letter? Phone call? It's been about 4 weeks & my Dr. has said be patient and call me next month, I don't want to be a pest but this Surgery is very important to me and I want to know how the Kaiser, So.Cal approval process works... 385 lbs., BMI-64.1    — Racegirl1 (posted on February 17, 2000)

BE A PEST!!! The squeaky wheel gets the grease! Definatly call and find out where your paperwork is and where you are in the process. I waited 3 weeks after I thought that my paperwork was sent and It hadn't been because they neded something from me and were waiting for it. Too bad they didn't tell me about it. Another time I waited only to find out that they(ins co.) were waiting for paperwork that got processed to a wrong dept. They wouldn't have even looked for it if I hadn't called and bugged them. So give thi ins co a call or get the Dr.'s office to call to let you know something. Good luck to you
