What am I waiting for?? Approval..

My Dr. at Kaiser, So.Cal sent in my paper work several weeks ago, my question is WHERE? Did he send it in to Kaiser or UCLA?? How will I know if i am aproved, will I get a letter? Phone call? It's been about 4 weeks & my Dr. has said be patient and call me next month, I don't want to be a pest but this Surgery is very important to me and I want to know how the Kaiser, So.Cal approval process works... 385 lbs., BMI-64.1
