Question:
I have no skin issues following gastric bypass other than those related to Lymphedema

I was recently diagnosed with Lymphedema and have to wear compression stockings/pantyhose daily. I am not able to get adequate compression due to the excess skin on my tummy, buttocks, and thighs. Could insurance cover a lift in my case?    — Ronda H. (posted on April 5, 2005)

I would guess that it depends on how convincing your doctor is! I have heard of law enforcment personel getting approved for an arm tuck b/c of the irritations from their bullet proof vests. So if that can happen perhaps yours can too!
