Anyone approved for BPD/DS with Tricare Prime Remote in 2004?

Anyone approved for BPD/DS with Tricare Prime Remote in 2004? I was denied for a laparascopic duodenal switch procedure on Jan. 13th. My surgeon's office says it looks like a mistake. The denial says that the procedure is denied, it doesn't say anything about ME not meeting the qualifications. Does anyone have any insight into what is happening with Tricare now? Allison, It sounds like you need to get on the phone with the insurance company and ask them to give you specifics as to WHY you were denied. They are required by law to give you the details. Have you tried asking your question over on the main DS Yahoo group? Blessings, dina
