Question:
VGB Open: Has anyone had any pain, almost like a bit of grabbing, under the incision?

I am 4 wks VGB open post op and have been feeling great up to a few days ago. My incision is not itchy but rather achey under the scar. It feels tight. I have been applying alow gel and vitamin e oil as well and it is not really helping. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Laurie J    — Laurie J. (posted on December 4, 2003)

Probably just healing. If it gets to be really painfull then call your Dr just in case, but otherwise it should go away soon. Congrats on your surgery! open vbg 8-26-02 315/180

I had an open vgb on Sept. 17/03. Most days are pretty good, but every once in awhile (still!!) I get the pulling or feel uncomfortable under the incision, sometimes pain. There is lots of scar tissue and I think this is normal. Afterall we did have major surgery. I asked my doctor and he said it is just the scar tissue.
