Question:
can someone help me with an appeal letter to bc/bs of illinois,ppo?

I've been denied by bc/bs of illinois, ppo, twice. The first time was for the 6mth. diet. My pcp wrote a letter trying to cover that, but they didn't accept. I haven't recieved the actual letter yet, so I'm not certain what they've said this time. The rep. read it to me over the phone and it was several reasons. I don't have an answer for you about bc/bs of illinois, but I wanted to find out more about your situation, as I have the same insurance company. I have a psych eval next week. Once that is completed a letter will be sent to them. Can you give me your background, stats, etc. I am curious what kind of situation you have and why they wouldn't cover it. Thanks so much.

Kimberly, your appeal letter will be most effective if it directly answers their objections. Until you get their denial letter and can tell us what the reasons for denial are, it will be hard to help you. Once you get the letter, come back for some more specific help.
