Question:
Is There anyone out there who was pre op 38-40BMI...?

Who would be willing to share their experience. I am 5'6 236lbs and have a bmi of 38.2. I am looking to chat with someone that had close to those stats or 100-110 lbs to lose. I am just wanting to know what to expect regarding different aspects of losing that amount of weight to sagging skin, post op diet etc. Thanks so much, and hope to hear from someone willing to listen to concerns and questions. Hi, my BMI was 39, I weighed 244 at 5'4 and in a little over 3 months, I am down to 177lbs. Thats a 67 loss!!!! forever. I am 37 and I know your age has a lot to do with how slow or fast you lose. Email me if you have any questions and check out my profile.

Check my profile. Pre-op I was 5'5"/237, today I am exactly 9 weeks post op and still 5'5", but weigh 195, putting my loss at 42 lbs. I just started exercising this week, prior to this week, no exercise at all.

My BMI was 40.7 to start. I was 268 pounds and 5'8" and a size 24. I am now about 138 pounds and wear a 4 (at GAP a 2). I tried to keep a detailed diary in my profile. Email me with any questions you may have.

HI, I was also on the edge and very concerned about the skin. I am only 22- and had a BMI of 40- Check out my profile - I was afraid I would have skin dragging on the street as I walked - my dr. said to use a vaseline intensive care lotion and it should be fine.. and get lots of water-- it is very good for your skin. The post op diet is very different but if you think you gained that weight over night you didn't so don't get discouraged and good luck...:)
