Public Service Bus? Are you having surgery done in Mexico? If so, can the
surgeon/hospital help you out with any arrangments? Sorry I don't have any
other advice. Best of Luck.

the best bet would be to take the trolley to the border and then a cab to
the hospital. and i agree, that you get a price up front for the amount.
also the hospital should be able to help with travel arrangements. good
luck

Check out this website. They have a bus service for only 6.50 each way.
Just take the trolley from the airport to the border.

Angie,
You can take rental cars over the border you just have to purchase a
special insurance policy. I do it when visiting Roserita Beach instead of
taking my own car. There are tons of insurance shops along the border
roads.
Hope this helps...Liz

Angie, I don't do any big city driving as I'm from the sticks so if you're
up to it OK but I would NEVER rent a car and drive there. I was in total
shock at how they drove in Rosarita Beach - they are crazy!! Why don't you
call the doctors office and ask (beg if you have to!) for someone from
their office to pick you up at the airport. Both times I has PS in Mx
through the Genesis Clinic in Rosarita Beach they picked me up and dropped
me off at the San Diego airport. I bet if you let them know what a huge
stressful burden this has become for you that they'll accomidate you.
Certainly wouldn't hurt to ask.

Hi there.....anyone telling you to take a cab from the border doesnt live
in this area. That would cost a fortune!! Its almost 1 1/2 hour drive
from the border. NOt to mention the cabbies drive like bats out of hell. I
would rent a car and buy the insurance. I know this is a possibility. I
think thats your best bet. As long as you take the toll road, the drive
should be uneventful (and the cost of the toll road covers any towing or
help you would need if you break down)
