Question:
I thought as long as the Surgeon was in Network, Ins would pay.
i thought as long as my surgeon was in network that my ins would pay, but i saw another posting on this website the other day from a lady that has the same ins that i have (CHA) and she said that just because the Dr. was in the network, that dosent mean that they will pay. all my ins will tell me at this point is that they need more info from the Surgeon. has any one out there dealt with (CHA)? and what was your results? i would appreciate any info on this. — patricia M. I have CHA and my surgeon is out of network but he works a deal with cha on
an individual basis and they paid everything. I hope they do the same for
you..

Does your insurance cover the surgery itself? That is the first question
you need to have answered. If it does and the surgeon is in network, you
should be OK. If it doesn't, then it really doesn't matter about the
surgeon.

I do not know anything about CHA but please do not proceed with surgery
without a written approval that the surgery is at least covered. Once you
have that then if the surgeon, hospital, anesthesiologist, hospital
internist, dietician, etc. are in network then you should be covered 100%.
Anyone that isn't in network might charge more than your insurance will pay
and you will be responsible for the balance.
