Question:
has anyone ever gotten insurance approval when there is an exclusion of coverage?

I have United Health Care of Ohio and in their policy it excludes anything related to the treatment of morbid obesity. I have already been denied, have contacted walter linstrom, and wonder is there any hope of getting approval? I also have United health care ppo I work for ge. I have been approve I went to see about this on July 29 1999 and I got aprove only after My pcp and my gyn/ob doctors wrote letters. I also wrote one tell them about my health No I have nothing major just my back hurts all the time I have bad knees and infromed on how welleducated I was about the surgey. My date is Oct 12,1999 with a three day hopital approval they told me they would be checking to see if I should need more time in the hospital. get your Doctors to support your decision.
