has anyone ever gotten insurance approval when there is an exclusion of coverage?

I have United Health Care of Ohio and in their policy it excludes anything related to the treatment of morbid obesity. I have already been denied, have contacted walter linstrom, and wonder is there any hope of getting approval? I would like to get some responses from other people fighting insurance for support or advice
