Hi, my company insurance elected not to pay and I went in on a self-pay
cash basis in Texas. The surgeons in San Antonio are wonderful and use
Methodist hospital all of who were wonderful. Currently, the cash fees,
paid up-front are $4,200 to surgeons which includes the surgeon, assistant
surgeon & anethesologist. The hospital, up-front fees are now $9,000
and includes everything, even if there are complications. I had some heart
probs and was in intensive care. The bill totaled to $22,746, but I owed
nothing. Also, the surgeons are affiliated w/a hotel group near the
hospital and you get a small suite, with cooking facitlite, frig, micro,
etc...for only $31 per nite if you are at the medical center. Go to my
doctors website at: www.sabariatric.com and go to the bottom of the page
and click on financial information and read all about their cash cost.
Good Luck! If I may be of any help please contact me via Email.

In Arkansas you can go to St. Vincent's or Baptist Medical Center in Little
Rock. They both work with self pay patients. For more info go to
