Has anyone sucessfully filed a claim with Athens Area Health Plan Select in Georgia a

I am trying to get my insurance company, Athens Area Health Plan Select, to help pay for a gastric bypass. They have refused to help because GB is excluded under their policies. Has anyone gotten this company to pay? If so can you please help me?    — Melanie G. (posted on April 27, 2005)

they will not pay. I was excluded from their policy jan 2003. Ihad to go on my husband's insurance to have surgery. where are you from I live in Greene Co. I had my surgery 01-19-05 with Dr. Procter in Gainesville. Love that man! So far 62lbs down
