Question:
anyone have major stomach cramping ?

I am 6 months post op and have lost 63 pounds . I have done great until this week . And I am having terrible stomach cramps. They are right in the middle of my rib cage dead center . Eating or drinking does not affect the pain . It just burns and cramps . Anyone have this problem or know what can cause it ?? Thanks    — Rhonda G. (posted on November 4, 2004)

Burning and cramping sound like acid reflux to me or an ulcer (although I'm not a doctor). I could suggest several things but if it is an ulcer, you don't need to wait around on that. Take some pepcid AC or something along those lines and get in to see your doctor.

Hi, I had severe stomache pains around the same time last year and after multiple tests it turned out to be gastritis. I started on prevacid but switched to prilosec which is much cheaper and works just as well. I'm fine now as long as I take the medication. Good luck and I hope you feel better.
