Question:
How much skin is 375 gms?
Although I've been told by several doctor's that I should qualify for a breast reduction, my insurance requires for at least 375 gms of skin for removal/reduction to be covered. Can anyone out there tell me how much this amounts to in terms of inches (I never have been very good at re-calculation's)? - Just for my own curiousity? Thanks!! — Tracy H. it calculates to .83 Pounds of flesh. there's really no measure in inches
b/c every breast is different. That means you'd have to have a little less
than more than .4 lbs removed from each breast (if they both matched
perfectly.) hope that helps.

Hello...I had 1530gms removed total (640 from left, 890 from right) during
my breast reduction, and it amounted to 3.7lbs. I went from a 36G to a
36C..hope that helps! Denise 316/156

I tell patients a can of soda is 355g (or cc's) Tissue is mostly water, so
that's a good comparison. That gives the best estimate of the size or
amount of tissue that would have to be removed from each breast to meet INS
company requirements.
