Question:
Has anyone had a burning, ripping pain from the middle of incision to left ?

It only happens when I walk, stand, bend, etc. I can sit still and lay down with no pain but I can't roll on my left side. It started about three weeks and this is my 7th week. I have seen my doc twice for it and he thought it was the rib pain. He said if it doesn't go away by week eight he will do more. I have no idea what to do now. It went away last weekend for one day and then returned worse than it has ever been. Has anyone had this happen to them? Please let me know--I am also stalled in weight loss--no loss in the last three weeks and I follow the diet --can only eat 4 oz at a time--try to get all water in--but I can't workout or walk because of the pain.    — who A. im not sure if its the same pain, but i had to go to the doc when i was 6 wks out because of a shooting pain in my left side by one of my incisions. It hurt everytime i laughed or moved or anything. My doc said it was where he had to put the staple gun in and that it was normal. I wouldnt worry about the weight loss its normal to go a couple of weeks with no weight loss. I am 9 months out and ive lost 120 lbs have 60 more to go. it took me 6 weeks to lose my first 20lbs. I lost really slow at first. Try not to stress out about the weight loss i really wish i wouldnt have!

You sound just like me!! I'm 14 weeks out, and will have a sharp burning tearing feel either up about an inch from my belly button and over the left about 3/4 inches. I'll go days without it bothering me, then it will start again. I asked the doc, and a few other people who were cut the same way, and they all said your still healing. It can take up to a year for it to go completly away, and my sisterinlaw says her's still hurts from time to time, and it's been almost 2 yrs for her. It's not fun (groan) but it will hopefuly get better soon

I've experienced the same thing with three different surgeries and was assured it is the nerve endings healing.
