Question:
Was it the Margerine that made me feel nausea?
Last night for dinner I had lobster dipped lightly in light margerine. This morning after I got up and got in the shower I had to get out of the shower twice to go to the bathroom and had a quesy stomack most of the day and started to feel a little nauseated last morning. do you think it's al because of the margerine, or something else. I'm about 4 weeks post-op, thanks — jen091172 (posted on July 16, 2003)

A couple of questions. Have you tolerated seafood before well? It gives
me the trots. Second, did you prepare or did a restraunt prepare the
lobster? Possibility is there it was turning and you have a mild case of
food poisoning. We are definitely more sensative to this than a person
with normal plumbing :>) And then again, it could be the margarine, but
that's not been my experience (loose bowels yes, queasiness that long
after, no). Good luck and hope you feel better!

Origianl poster here. I cooked the lobster, My husband works at a seafood
plant and bought it home so I know it wasn't turning, and I have never had
any problemes with seafood, before or what I have eaten after surgery till
now. Thanks for the answers.

I love lobster post op, but I have to pass on the margarine and butter. If
I don't... the toilet and I become very good friends.

It's so hard to say, especially in the early weeks and months. I'd wait a
few weeks before trying that again, and you may find your pouch will
tolerate the lobster and/or margerine better next time.
