Question:
SCALLOPS
I love scallops and I've been eating them alot lately. I usually eat between 2-3 ounces of meat, however I've noticed that I can eat alot more when I have scallops, at least 4 ounces. Am I eating to much or are they one of those foods that chews down to nothing? Also, do you have any good ways to make scallops? THANKS!! — Kelly* P. (posted on April 23, 2003)

Hi, I eat scallops alot, one of the pleasures of living in NYC and being
able to shope for fresh seafood in chinatown. 1 sea scallop (th big kind)
is 17 calories and 2.63 g of protein....My hubby sautes them in white wine,
virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar, they are tasty. I can eat about 6,
sometimes 8 of them. I have been eating them since I was 3 mos post-op.

They chew down to nothing. 4 ounces is'nt to much. By the way, I love them
too, although I can't figure out how to cook them.

I love scallops too!! When I cook them I like to taste the scallop and
nothing else so I just broil them plain and simple. I don't put anything
on them and they are delicious this way because you taste the actual
scallop instead of all that other stuff you can put on them. yum yum
