Question:
OK I got approved for my boobs but not my tummy

They told me today that a panniectomy is cosmetic and not covered. The doctor sent letter of Med. ness. and talk about rashes back pain ect... They did not send pic. not sure if that would have made a difference. What to do now. I need help with appeal letters and some inspiring input.He was going to do the surgery together. UHC seems to be on a ps denying roll lately. I was denied for both. You need to appeal. I was advise to resend everything sent before along with you new stuff. Focus on "objective" and have them also tell how your quality of life will be better. Send those pics! Myself, I'd wait and have them both done at once rather than being knocked out twice. Good luck!

Pictures are one of the MAIN things insurance companies look out. Send another letter WITH pictures asking for reconsideration of the tt.

Definitly get as much ammunition, pictures, doctor's letters and things together and appeal. One thing that really helped me was a letter from my psyc doctor saying that the painful rashy skin and disfigured appearance were adding to my depression. But I would wait and see what happens before I went ahead with the breast, because if they do deny an appeal it will probably cost you less if you have both procedures done at the same time since the insurance will be footing part of the hospital and anesthesiologist bill.
