Question:
High platelets

I just had blood taken and the results were that my platelets were to high, had to go to a hematology group and have more blood taken. Results back Monday, Keeping our fingers crossed that it isn't serious and that I will still be able to have WLS. (Waiting on insurance) Any one else with elevated platelets?    — Diane S. If you don't have a significant medical history with high platelets in the past, having a moderately high platelet count one time is many times because of something like acute infection, stress, or rheumatoid arthritis. Stay cool and hang tough. Your new blood tests may not show anything at all. Take care.
