Question:
Anyone out there that was over 300 and not need plastic surgery?

Hi! I am 27 years old and have been told that since I am pretty young that I may not need plastic surgery after I lost all my weight. I was wondering if there is anyone out there who was over 300 pounds and didn't really need the plastic surgery after you lost your weight?    — J C. (posted on April 15, 2002)

My good friend Angela Flewelling (look up her profile here) was 296, 5'7", and 27 years old. Now at 130-135. She looks super. Her arms look great. Her boobs look fantastic (in a bra), but not so great nekkid. Her belly is still tightening up, and wears those cute little hip huggers. She had surgery Jan 01, goal in winter same year. She said that if she does anything that she will do the boobs. In the meantime, she wears one of those water-filled bras from Victorias Secret and her figure is to die for!!

I wish. Preop 355, now 183, had abdominoplasty, fighting for the rest. I was 32 at the time and told the same thing you were..."you are young, etc.". NOT!

I was 308 preop. I'm not to goal yet (30 to go), but the only real problem area I have is the Old Lady Underarm thing going. I think a bunch of this is hereditary though (my niece says I have kimono arms). I started working out early in my program though and I think that has had a lot to do with it. I have a very, very small tummy "pooch", but even when I was uncommonly thin as a youngster, my tummy pooched, so what ever. I wish you tremendous luck in your thinner future! The Luckiest Angel

I am 31 and had open RNY 11-12-01 and have now lost 105 lbs and I do have the saggy skin. I will be looking at an arm and tummy tuck ASAP. Most people say it isn't that bad but I will have it done for myself. I can wear those girdle type panties and they help a WHOLE lot. Good Luck!
