Question:
Has anyone that has BC/BS Alliance of Missouri been turned down?

I just went for my first consultation with the surgeon and he agrees that surgery is right for me. He is now sending my insurance company his letter. He told me to contac them from my end and see if they cover the surgery. I made the contact and was told that this is not a covered proceedure. The lady told me that the medical board will review the letter my doctor sends but that's all the info she gave me. I am so scared that they will reject me.    — Christy A. I have BC/BS BlueChoice and was denied twice. I appealled both times and was still turned down. I contacted Walter Lindstrom but he didn't feel I had much of a case. He said BC/BS was notorious for denying surgery. I ended up self-paying. However, I have heard and seen others who have gotten the surgery covered--I hope you are one of the lucky ones! Good luck!
