Michigan Psychologist that accepts Medicaid

I cant get approval for RNY without a Psych eval but nobody can tell me where in the state of Michigan to find a Psychologist that will do the eval for madicaid. I am willing to go anywhere in the state!!! please someone help!! [email protected]    — Blase K. (posted on January 14, 2002)

I had that same problem with Medicaid, When I called most psychiatric and psychologist and informed them that I had Medicaid, although they didn't take it , they were willing to lower their fee to accomodate me. I paid 75 dollars which I felt was a bargain . I live in New York, but call around and ask them how much are their fees if you paid cash. God Bless and good luck.

Not sure if they take medicaid, but I used Dr. Dale Penprase in Midland, MI. The cost of the evaluation was $180, but was refunded to me by insurance. Their nukmber is 989-832-8884, and he has done quite a few WLS evaluations. Hope this might help! Good Luck!
