Question:
How Long Can the Hair loss last???

I'm 5 months post-op (D/S) and am loosing my hair by the handfulls, luckly I had a lot of hair to begin with, however, its starting be obvious. I know there is nothing you can do to stop the hair loss, but how long does it last? Please let me know about how long the hair loss lasts!    — abran (posted on September 10, 2001)

Ann, its my understanding that hair loss usually ceases around 6 months post-op. Mine started falling out early, about 2 months post-op. I'm about 4.5 months post-op now and although my hair is still falling out, its also growing back in. I'm taking GNCs hair and nails vitamins. I'm not sure if that is what is helping but it could be!
