How Long Can the Hair loss last???

I'm 5 months post-op (D/S) and am loosing my hair by the handfulls, luckly I had a lot of hair to begin with, however, its starting be obvious. I know there is nothing you can do to stop the hair loss, but how long does it last? Please let me know about how long the hair loss lasts!
