Don't ever eat more than a cup of food again at one sitting that will undo
all the work you have done you don't want that I too are seven months post
and I hardly eat half a cup of food at a sitting

You state that you have to struggle not to eat more. Are you starting to
feel hunger already? If so, is it head hunger possibly? You may need to see
a counselor and get some help for this. As far as eating goes, you should
try going on a liquid protein diet for a few days to get your pouch back on
track. Have a liquid protein shake every 3 1/2 to 4 hours for three days.
Then add in one meal a day for a few days. That should help get you back on
track. When you do go back to meals, fill almost completely up on dense
protein, then take a few bites of vegetables. COMPLETELY AVOID

Sorry, I didn't finish my last answer. COMPLETELY AVOID RICE, POTATOES,
BREAD, ETC. Good luck. I hope all goes well for you.

Along with what Elizabeth said(she said a lot of good things), you might
want to talk to your nut. and see what she has to say.

My motto is eat like a four year old. I still eat on a six inch plate.
Protein first. I don't push it by trying to incorporate old habits like
goodies and snacks. I have my sweets as fruit in cottage cheese. or a
yogurt.

Hi! Congrats on everything so far and not being pregnant if thats what you
wanted. Now as far as how much you should be eating. I am 13 months out and
my nut wants me to try to keep my meals as small as possible. i am still
eating 4-5 ounces a meal 4 times a day to MAINTAIN my current weight. I get
roughly 1300 calories and try to get 1500 on days I work out hard. I am
still losing, but its like a pound a month now, so thats ok...I guess. I
met goal in 9.5-10 months. Don't be in a hurry to eat big meals. It will
happen in time. I still eat on the small plates, I eat whatever I want
pretty much, but stick to the meal plan in as far as not eating white flour
etc. I do eat fried fish and fried zuccini, but its rare. I never eat
sugar, unless its in bbq sauce or stuff like that. So I would tell you to
consult your nutritionist and stick to the rules. Keep meals as small as
possible and it will happen. Your nut will be able to help better because
she knows what your loss has been like and how much you need to lose over
all etc. They are there for just these questions. Hvae a great week! hugs,

I think a good ryle of thumb for every stage is eat until you are
satisfied, not stuffed. The amount of food will be different for everyone
depending on how far out one is. I've made the mistake of eating too much
one time, and it's miserable- like I swallowed a brick!

Hi! I'm about where you are now, and my nut told me that I should be
eating a 1/2c to a cup. Never more than a cup. I'm lucky if I'm able to
eat the 1/2c most times and never try to push it. I figure if my stomach
doesn't miss the larger portion, my head shouldn't either.
Good luck!

Hello all... I am 9 months out with lap-band. I have 8cc's of saline in my
band, which feels too restricted, and every meal is like a
"test". One day chicken will go down smooth, and the next I am
suffering with each bite. I am waiting to get some saline taken out,
because there are times that I suffer from heart burn or acid reflux, just
from drinking liquids. I have basically been living off of yogert and
protein drinks ( which is satisfying) but I was always told that if you
seriously restrict your food intake, your body will go into starvation
mode. Which I think has happened. To date, I have lost a total of 40
pounds, but like I mentioned earlier I am 9 months out, my weight has come
off slowly. I know that everybody is different with their loss. The good
thing is that my skin is not sagging, and I can see muscle tone. This has
definatly been a learning experience. If you are concerned about stretching
out your pouch- there is a 5 day test that you can do in order to bring the
restriction back. Good luck everyone... there sure is a lot of great
information given to us all on this website, and I thank you all for
sharing.
