Question:
Can my doctor write a referal for WLS?

I have an appointment with my PCP on monday so that I can convince him to write up a referal.I have already done my psyc eval, and have met with various nutritionists.My 1st appt with the surgeon is on the 30th and I need a referal from my pcp.Should I try to get him to write the referal for the surgeon,or should he submit one for the surgery??? please help! Your PCP should write the referal. They can show the history of how long you have been over weight, what you have tried. I was denied the first time, went to my PCP she wrote a letter and I was approved a week later. You just have to play the insurance game. Not a fun game most of the time unless you win.
