What surgery procedure did you have? Can you provide some of the food
items you're eating? If you are eating mostly carbs, that can account for
slow weight loss. Generally, we need to eat lean protein first, followed
by vegetables. Complex (whole grains, oatmeal, etc.) carbs are okay but
less often than protein and veggies. Simple carbs (sugary foods, white
bread, white rice, potatoes, etc.) will slow or prevent weight loss. Have
you seen your surgeon or nutritionist since your surgery to discuss this
with them? If not, call the nutritionist to check. I also encourage you
to journal your food. OH has Health Tracker (located under MY OH's drop
down) on the blue nav bar. You can show the nutritionist or surgeon what
you're eating so they can assist you with food selection to maximize your
WLS and weight loss.
