Question:
Has anyone had Thermablation (alternative to hysterectomy)done before Gastric Bypass!

I had a thermablation (alternative to hysterectomy, stops menstrual cycles) done for heavy menstrual cycles November 2006. Have not had a period since February 2007. I had the Gastric Bypass done on July 17, 2008 and five weeks post-op I started bleeding very heavy. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this temporary? Hi, I had the same procedure done in 2000 but I ended up having a hysterectomy also, later that year. I had my gastric bypass Oct. 31st of last year and have not had any problems with bleeding at all. Hope this helps and I hope you have talked with your doctor about this. God bless

I had the same procedure after my bypass. I became very anemic and cant take iron pills. I do get my period but it is like having nothing. I dont get it bad. I would see how it goes for a few months and then call your OB. Good Luck

I had the same procedure done in June 06, it only helped for about 3 months had a hysterectomy done Oct 07 because of anemia I had my RYN 1/05.
