Question:
I had an upper GI and endoscopy done and I could see the fluids going threw me
during my upper GI the radiologist had me drink fluids and I could see the fluids running threw my pouch. He told me that everything was going threw fast. I also was told that I have swelling in my esophagus. Could this be a reason for a revison. I never made it to goal weight and have been gaining weight — TTT (posted on June 7, 2010)

That's hard saying. I have had several upper GI's and the fluid is
supposed to run through fast. All my problems have been when fluids run
through too slow or not at all. If you had swelling it seems the fluids
would not be running through fast. Not sure what to make of that!

My last Upper GI revealed that my Band had not slipped but was placed above
where it should have been. It was at the connection point between my RNY
Pouch/Stomach & the Esophagus. Rather than lower below the nerves that
signal the brain that were full. My Esophagus was enlarged also (from over
eating and the Band doing it's job. The flow had no blockage than the
gastric banding. So now I need to measure & journal everything I put in
my mouth. Sort of like I've never had any Weight Loss Surgery. I'm still
happy I received both the Bypass & the Banding. I've lost 300 pounds
but still need to lose the other 300 too.
