Question:
16 months out and only down 80 lbs

i am sixteen months out today and have been on a plateua for at least 8 months up and down the same 3 lbs. am doing everything that i am supposed to be doing started at 270 and am at 190 now any suggestions    — donna m (posted on June 15, 2007)

Hi Donna, glad you wrote. When you say that you are doing everything you are supposed to, here is what I think you are doing: Eating 50 grams of protein every day, drinking 64 oz of water, and no soda or caffine products, exercising at 18 months out should probably be up to 45 minutes a day for 4 to 6 days a week, closer to six. If this fits you, then you just have to wait on your body to respond, there really is nothing more than what you are doing. If this does not describe you, if you are indulging in sweets, treats, caffine or soda, little stuff you are not supposed to have, then you are tricking your body into keeping your weight, and you need to go back to basics, protein, water and exercise. You have to fight for those pounds, and if you don't fight, you then get to keep them. yes i am doing all that you said except the excersize is the curves workout 3x's per week 34 min sessions i am doing alittle bit of carbs but am trying to eat as little as possible. the only sweets i have are sugar free and not very much of that . water i know is an issue but i am getting about 48 oz per day so now i just wait
