I had RNY but my husband just got his band put on on Wednesday. Everything
we have learned is that everyone will be different. That's why you keep
going in for more fills and they do it with such low amounts. Good Luck!

I really did not have much restriction until this last fill, I have 8 cc
in. I mean I could not eat what I used to but, I never felt like I could
only eat 2/3 of a cup either, I still can eat about 1 cup of food, but what
I can not eat is bread. Be patient, and continue with your fills as
needed, until you hit that "sweet spot" Good luck! Marie

Sandy,
Everyone's restriction is different. I received 1.5 first fill three weeks
ago. Once I started solid food I felt restriction and still do. Give it
two weeks, if no restriction, schedule another appointment.

Sandy,
When they start doing fills, it is testing. Usually, you can get a fill
every 2 weeks until you feel the restriction. Sometimes it may take 1 or 2
fills and sometimes more. I work in a fill clinic and find that the
average Bander has about 8 fills the first yeat. After that it is only 1
or 2 a year. Be patient and keep going back until you feel that
restriction that you are suppose to feel. It also depends on what size
your band is. Some are 5 & some are 10. If they start out with to
much fill, you will end up in the ER and we don't want that. It is a very
individual thing. You can't compare your fill with anybody elses as it
depends on your own body.
