Question:
Blood in rectum
Just wanted to let you all know that I went to doctor today and he did not find anything wrong. He suggested a colonoscopy to be on the safe side. He did find it strange that it happens when exercising but he said it is not an ulcer or hemorrhoids. Thank you for all your responses — bikermama (posted on July 17, 2008)

I am so relieved to hear that. Thanks so much for going to the doctor and
getting it checked out. A colonoscopy is a good idea.
Good luck to you,

Mysteriously, the same thing happens to me when I work out. Not sure where
the blood comes from or what causes the bleeding. I am about two months
post-op and it has happened most every time I have exercised at the gym. I
would like to know what you find out. Blessings, Andi M.

Glad you got checked out.... are you positive that the blood is coming
from your rectum? WLS is notorious for messing with hormones so even if
you are between periods or past menopause, its not impossible that you
could be having some spotting.

Yes please do get a colonoscopy just to be safe! I was diagnosed with
colon cancer @ age 35! VERY treatable if caught early. :0D
