I drink that, as well as the International Creamers and Coffeemate varieties almost every day. I won't lie to you though, Deb. Some days the taste is oh so good and others, well it might upset your tummy--a little. When that happens to me I just decide to forego the extra coffee (albeit I may be craving it) and switch to H20 until my stomach settles. My surgeon told me there is clearly no research or evidence as to why some days your digestion tract seems to be able to tolerate things better than others, but that is just a side effect of ghrenlin-shift and hormones, I suppose. Not sure what sx type you had, but I am almost 6-mos. post RNY and began drinking coffee with the creamers again about 1-mo. postop. Good luck. HTH!

Don't know about the general foods, as I am not a fan of the chemical coffee creamers, but when I couldn't handle dairy (I wasn't great with it pre-op either) I switched over entirely to <a href="http://www.silksoymilk.com/products/silk-creamer?gclid=CJjVpaHksKICFQpciAodHzfVSQ"Silk brand soy milk"</a> (I only drink Silk, the others are nasty). They make a creamer, but I just use their light original or their chocolate soy milk in my coffee. It even has a decent amount of protein in it.

I use Unjury unflavored powder for my creamer now. You cannot make your coffee piping hot BUT it makes your coffee healthy and does not change the flavor.....

I believe that I had to wait 4 months until I had regular coffee, I use Cremora and 2% Lactaid milk. Also, some gal said that her Dr said that some stuff upsets your stomach and somedays it won't, AMEN to that Dr, he is right on the money. However, it does get better, I am close to a year out from my surgery and I do not throw up as much anymore, thank the good Lord.

I waited to about 6 weeks post op to attempt coffee as I'm an addict and just couldnt wait to start my addiction again!! I should have just stayed away, but I had that first cup with sweet n low and creamer and spent the next hour dumping in the restroom at work.... What was causing me problems was the creamer. I now can have a cup, but I'm almost a year out, and yes I do use creamer now. It just took time to adjust.

I have not tried it but my NUT said ev en though it is sugar free there is oil in it and it is still a milk product. She suggested the coffee mate ones that have the same flavors. Hazelnut, french Vanilla and irish cream as well as the regular flavor. These are also available in the individual packets. I think they are 10 per pack. Much like the juice/tea for drinking bottles type serving packets..
