Get off the hormones.
They increase tour risk of cancer too.

Are your thyroid levels normalized? If they are too low, you will also
either GAIN weight or have trouble losing it. Too HIGH and you can't keep
it ON.

The non- stop hunger sounds like the "Carb monster"....That's a
term those of us who have begun at some point or another, old habits of
eating too many simple (white carbs) and sugar. It's like a
"monster" is in our belly making us hungry all the time with
cravings and ravenous feelings of hunger, when we know we should not be
hungry. I've had a carb monster on my back too...More than once...This
test is by far the easiest way to get rid of it....Gain back control and
confidence in your pouch and learn to eat teh RIGHT way again, by going
back tot he basics like we did newly post op. It's only 5 days and I was
totally amazed how great it worked. I went on to lose 10 holiday lbs after
i did this and then began journaling (adding calories, carbs, fat, portein
and fat totals of everything I ate) what i ate so I could see for myself
where my mistakes were and where I could easily cut back. I've been back
on track for over 6 months and back to maintaining my weight! 4.5 + years
now! Good luck...Try this! http://www.5daypouchtest.com/

Jane, I had some irregularities with my menstral cycle a few years ago. My
gynecologist put me on a low dose hormone pill. I didn't realize it at the
time, but they made me gain weight. I took them for about a year; not sure
how much I did gain...several pounds...but there were other things going on
with work, and I thought the weight gain was related to that. I ended up
going off of them eventually. My cycle maintained regularity for a while
but did mess up again. The gyn. put me back on the hormone pills...that
time I did realize the differences...I basically was experiencing PMS 24/7
and immediately started gaining weight (gained about 20 pounds from July to
October). My gyn. ended up changing me to a low dose birth control
pill...it took care of the cycle issues and I lost the PMS problems...I
would recommend you talking to the doctor who prescribed the hormones and
see if he/she has other recommendations...Good luck!
