Question:
Empolyer changing ins carrier?
The company that I work for is changing carriers the 1st of the year. My question has 2 parts..(1) I'm going to see a plastic surgeon abt a tummy tuck and alot of other areas that need tighten ? (2) Has anyone had any contact with a company called Coventry ? I've never heard of them. Any input would be appreciated. — fluffy (posted on December 11, 2005)

Never heard of that one wither, but if you already have a policy in effect
when the new one comes in and you have been treated on the previous policy
there should be no problem about the Tummy Tuck, but make sure that the
doctor justifies it pictures of what you look like after, if you have skin
rashes or excessive sagging on your abdomen below your pubic line. Some
insurances don't cover cosmetic surgury, which if it's justified with
excellent documentation you should be able to prove. If they deny the
claim you can appeal it. Hopefully there won't be an issue. A lot of
companies are going with off name insurance carriers. Read your policy
handbook carefully or if you don't understand something from them call the
customer service thru them to get things clarified. Sometimes to get what
you want with insurance companies you have to nag a bit. Good luck:)
