Question:
DR. LOUISE MARTIN OF NEW ORLEANS, LA does anyone know his prices?

My husband is considering going to see Dr. Martin and he wanted to know if anyone has gotten this surgery by him and if so would you know any prices? He will be self pay so if you know of any other Dr. in the Louisiana area that has good self pay options and has done many of these surgeries please let me know. Danielle- I don't know if you are up for traveling to Richmond; but, I'm having my surgery done by Dr. Neil Hutcher who is an excellent surgeon and has been doing variations of WLS sinc the 1970's. He's performed thousands of surgeries and really is a great doctor. The hospital has a self-pay program for people(unfortunately you have to pre-pay before surgery) and the cost is 17,500.oo. They accept all major credit cards too. This amount includes all of your pre-op testing, surgical related fees and 90 days post-op. I'm traveling from Maryland to have my surgery done by him; however, Md is not as far as Louisiana. Well, sorry I didn't have any information on Dr.'s in Lousiana; however, if you aren't able to travel perhaps this could help give you an estimate. Good luck! Hi there. I looked into Dr. Martin's program, but I chose to have my surgery with Dr. Wagih Mando/Dr. Ruary O'Connell with the Renew Program out of Pendleton Memorial Methodist. I live in Gonzales and I don't find it inconvenient to travel. The program is really great and I highly recommend giving them a call. I don't know much about the self pay, since my insurance covered.. but I do know they take self pay patients. I just saw the claim for my surgery and the bill was $30,478 (including everything). I had open RNY, and was in the hospital from Monday and released on Thursday (with no gallbladder removal and no complications). Take care and good luck!

Hi Denise, Check with Dr. Kenneth Jones in Shreveport. I was going to be a self pay also and I was going to have Dr. Jones do it. But my new insurance is now going to cover me. Dr. Jones self pay price is around 14,500. He is very good and came highly recommended. I am now going to Dr. Mando, but was originally with Dr. Martin. Good Luck!
