Question:
muscle bruised behind chest bone

thought I was having a heart attack, went to ER, had scan the whole nine yards heart is fine,l doc said that I bruised my muscle in chest-- anybody had this? it hurts when I take a deep breath or to bend down-- it has been 5 days already and it still hurts only stops hurting when I take the pain meds. Don't know how I did it- I do excerise 5 days a week. I had up my time on the elipical, told me to not work out for a week-:( said it was going to take time. The same thing happened to me, I thought I was having heart trouble, went to the ER..all the scans and tests and ended up with a bruise like yours. They think it was from vomitting. It only lasted about 5-6 days and was gone.
