Question:
HMO Blue Mass Question!

Hi, I have HMO Blue of Mass and I have a BMI of 39.7. I have high blood pressure and GERD. I need to know if anyone has been approved with a BMI under 40. I really want to get the lapband. Anyone have any advice? Robbie33    — robbie33 (posted on January 25, 2006)

Im a light weight too, bmi 38, but gerd was extreame ,had barretts, so band is out and so is the rny ,which both are bad for the gerd, the cure for the barretts was a fundia wrap, which now dictates a DS, or perhaps for you a VGS, the top of a DS , would give the benefit of a band, I think be better,work better, last longer,give it a look over, at the VGS forum, or DS forum. both might be a good choice.
