Question:
Need tummy tuck & arm reduction surgery. Will Aetna cover? Any Ohio surgeon referrals
Ive lost over 120lbs but my arms keep me in at least 2 sizes larger (tons of hanging skin!) Has anyone had the arm reduction surgery? How painful is it? How much downtime is required? Also how do I get the tummy paid for? I have quite a bit of hanging skin there as well, but need my insurance (Aetna) to cover it! I am in Columbus, OH. Any good surgeon recommendations???? Thanks everyone! — Gena L. (posted on August 31, 2011)

Hi Gina, wish I could answer but, I don't have one. I was thinking of the
arm reduction also. I will NOT wear anything sleevless because of my arms.
I don't think ins will pay though. I think they would consider that
cosmetic. I had lap-band done in "2005" still need to lose more
though.

Insurance will not pay, it is considered cosmetic. You are not that far
from Ann Arbor Michigan, I can recommend a great surgeon there, Dr. David
Hing. I have had brachioplasty, and lower body lift. He does an amazing
job. I am a nurse, and I highly recommend Dr. Hing. Their website is

Aetna may cover it with certain circumstances such as having problems with
rashes, sore, etc. Also your weight would have to be stable for 18 months.
