I would bring in a list of questions, any medical history for the past 5
years. A list of your prescriptions. A list of surgery's you have had. Some
questions I asked were: How many surgery's have you performed? Have you
lost any patients, and what was the cause of their deaths? What type of
follow-up program do you have. Do you do the actual surgery or do you have
an assistant do the surgery. What types of surgery's do you do? What is
your price? What insurance's do you take? What hospital do you use? etc.
Hope you can use this information. Janice B

Have you called or looked online to see what your insurance company
requires? that can help you make sure you get everything done. IF your
insurance requires a doctor -supervised diet for a certain amount of time,
you can make you r surgical date for two weeks after that time is up, and
go to your PCP right away. that way you can get everything done.
At the surgeonn's come in with your questions written down so you do not
forget anything. I also suggest doing research so that you understand
what the doc is talking about.
