Question:
I have no energy, any suggestions
I will be 7 months post-op on the 18th and I have no energy By the end of my work day which begins at 6:00 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m. I am so tired, I have lost 94 lbs to date. I am ready to go to bed around 7:00 at night. I have been on iron for about 3 weeks and I went to my Pcp on Monday and got a B-12 shot. I will try anything to feel more normal. — MARIA H. What KIND of iron? Do you take it with vit C, not with any other vites or
meds, nor milk nor caffeine for 1 hour? Where do you take the rest of your
vites during the day? Where do you place your protein supps?

I went through a time feeling like that too. What worked for me was to do
my B12 shot every 3 weeks instead of every 4. I also notice a big
difference when I am exercising & getting enough water & protein in
too. Best wishes in your process.

I am two months postop and I have been feeling tired, too. What worked for
me was exercising. I began really exercising last week (not here and there
as I have been in the past). I exercised four times last week and I have
had more energy this week and I am not tried after my workday. Maybe you
can boost up your exercise program? Just a thought. Congrats on the
weight loss and good luck in your journey. Daphine

I definately know the feeling! I agre with Daphine though about the
exercise. I know it seems hard b/c if you have no energy, then when the
heck are you supposed to exercise!? But I started going to the gym, and at
first I had to make myself, I was just so tired and had no motivation. But
once I started, I really gained alot of energy. Even after working out,
ofcourse I am a little tired, but I have so much energy, it's amazing.
Ofcourse, not everyone can join a gym, but even just taking some walks
during the day or at night I think could really help you. I know it's hard
with your schedule, but try it, may work for you! Goodluck to you :)

Maria, I noticed that you have not updated your profile since you were
pre-op. It doesn't help us much to help you when we don't have that
background to refer to. I'd like to know if you do exercise? And do you
get in enough water? Dehydration can make you tired, not taking your iron
properly as Michelle said can keep it from working properly, and not
exercising can lead to a lack of energy. Keep up the profile so that we
can be of service to you!

I was the same way. I was the walking dead for almost 18 months post op. I
got once a month B-12 shots. It did'nt help. Then twice a month. Now I'm
getting them once a week and what a difference! :) I sure had to do enough
bitching before they finally increased the shots. ;)
