The fill volume on lad bands range from 5cc (a teaspoon) to 14cc (just a
drop or two less than a tablespoon) depending on the brand of band you
have. They are gradually filled over time not all at once so if they added
1-2cc's that is like 10-20 drops, a very minimal amount.
Hope this helps.

There may or may not be a problem with your lap band. You are almost 2
months out and have only lost 19 pounds plus you are able to eat anything,
just have decreased your portions. I had a similar experience with a lap
band, minimal weight loss (which was really from my own efforts, not the
band) even though I had gone back a couple of times to increase my fills.
After I began experiencing a lot of abdominal pain, I went to a new
bariatric doctor and he discovered that my band had slipped and was causing
me various abdominal problems. I had to have it removed. So, don't just
assume that everything is fine, you should have it checked out to assure
that it has not slipped and your pouch is still there and functioning
properly.

Discuss this with your doctor. It is not normal to not be able to feel new
restriction with a fill. You could have a slip, but I doubt it. If you
have the larger band, they are just not filling it enough. Don't eat
"anything" just because you can. You will sabotage your weight
loss. The other possibility is a leak in the tube that goes from the port
to the band. On your next trip to the doc, have him withdraw all of the
fluid from the band to verify how much is there and then start all over
with a good fill. Best of luck to you!

I am almost 3yrs post op and have lost 75lbs and have 30 more to go. I am a
slow loser and my band is older and only holds 4cc and am at 2cc. My
doctor says to eat 4oz of food at a time chew well and eat slowly it takes
approx 1/2 hr for your tummy to tell your brain that you have eaten. I
have boutgt a scale and measure my food for the past week and did not
realize how much more than the 4oz I was consuming. Aslo was told if still
hungry after 1/2 hr to eat a little more. I have lost 2 lbs this past week
so it does work to measure. I wish I have done this sooner. Hope this
helps :)

It can take up to 5 fills to get proper restriction. This time is known as
bandster hell. Yes you can eat almost anything, doesn't mean you should.
This is the time to concentrate on learning and following ther rulse for
when you get more restriction. Small bites, chew well, no slider foods, no
drinking with food...
Good luck
