Question:
HI, I m 5 & half mths out and lost over 130lbs already. Feel on top of this world.
this world. I have reached my target weight in a very short time. I have been working out really hard and eating very careful (mostly high proteins, water, low carb) BUT now the challenge i have is sometimes i feel my body needs more calories but i m scared of gaining my weight back. ALso, I am pure VEGETARIAN so what to eat if sometimes i crave for sugar or snacks during the day. Please let me know. Currently I eat not more than 1000 calories per day and burn around 600-650 everyday in the gym. Therefore i feel i need to eat more. HOw many calories should be remainiing in my system after buring 600-650 everyday in my gym ? Any suggestions on this would be of great help. Thanks alot in advance. Hi Jack. I was a vegetarian for 37 years and am still prdominately one. I
make a banna cream pie with milk and sugar free pudding. I slice up
bannana's on the bottom of a grahm cracker crust made with splenda and pour
the pudding over the top ( make according to the pie directions on the
package) Cover with suar free cool whip. You can do it with coconu,
chocolate, butterscotch etc. Use soy milk if you are so inclined. I also
freeze fruit and eat like a slushy. I think you are only retaing 300 to 400
calories a day. We were told to take no less then 800. Congratulations.

I do not have the answer to your question, other than using splenda in
sugar free desserts. I just wanted to congratulate you on your amazing
weight loss. I am having surgery on the 27th and you are such an
inspiration to me. Good luck.

I think you have probably lost too quickly if that is possible. You now
must cut back on your exercising and up your calories with carbs. I am not
a nutritionist so you should probably consult with the one affiliated with
your doctor. You seem to be burning too many calories and your body is
still malabsorbing.

I don't think you have lost too fast or too much. Everyone's body is
different. And the more you have to lose, the quicker it will come off.
Also, the more dedicated you are and the more foods you stay away from will
help. If I were you I wouldn't go for the sugary snacks--even sugar free
sweets make me crave sugar. I would try a high carb option since you are
burning so much energy & calories. Carbohydrates are supposed to fuel
the body (and especially if you don't eat meat). What about a protein bar
or pasta salad or something else high in complex carbohydrates? You do
need to add more calories no matter what you do, you are going to damage
your body by not getting in enough to sustain yourself. Be careful.
