Question:
no insurance don't qualify for medicaid because I have a job .
I don"t qualify for a loan because I don't make enough $ on my job. Does anyone have any information on foundations or organizations I could contact that would help me? I despartly need WLS and I feel like this is my last attempt at getting some help. Please any suggestions on what I can do? — ms.betty (posted on August 30, 2007)

I would contact WLS centers in your area and plainly let them know the
financial, and health problems you are faceing. You have to be honest and
sincere. They will let you know if there are any clinics or free programs
you can take advantage of. If there are no avenues available there are
great doctors and clinics in Mexico if you are so inclined. They are never
free, but much cheaper then here in the US. The only problem, you must have
cash. It looks a little bleak, but it doesn't mean you can't lose weight by
going on a liquid diet or a cabbage soup diet. Good Luck.

Betty,
Hi... I don't know your financial Status, but if you are low enough income
to recieve Medicade... It will pay for WLS...If that does not help... Try
the Barix Clinic They are known for their old name of The Bariatrics
treatment Centers. You can type them in on a search with Google to get the
nearest location. I know they have special loan programs for people without
insurance.... I hope I have helped.....

Hello,
I am from Bowling Green, Ohio. They have the Center for Weight Loss Surgery
at Wood County Hospital. They have a payment plan option for those who have
no insurance. The number is 419-373-7699.
I hope that helps!!

the state of Mississippi has a rehab program that may pay for WLS so that
you may continue to work. Maybe your state has something like that. Check
it out. If all else fails do what I did. My insurance would not pay for
WLS so I saved money for 2 years and found a local hospital that would take
self-pay patients. Not all hospitals will take self-pay. It cost about
$25,000 for me 3 years ago. Best $25,000 I ever spent.
